Have been contacted about expanding an existing pipeline on my property in the Ajax area of Natchitoches Parish. Also know a friend who has been contacted near Spanish Lake where there is no existing pipeline on his property. It looks at that point it goes south on its own.

why would we want a pipeline on our property? just to pipe out the "core sweet spot gas" of the rich people who claim they are the only ones with gas on their property. according to many of these same people there is no gas in natchitoches parish. in that case I don't need a pipeline.
Lrb2brnot2b,
I'm with you. Why does everyone get excited about a pipeline? The money is not worth it -- these pipelines will be there for 100 years.
Exactly!
I'm not thrilled about it taking more of my pine timberland forever either, I'm just reporting what I know. The brochure I recieved also informed me that eminet domain applies to interstate pipelines. I sure don't like that they can take my land. Only thing positive is that being close to a pipeline there may be a better chance to get a well in the future.
I've been contacted. Talk to the man on the phone yesterday and was told they would be here within the month to do survery. Not sure which direction on my land they are thinking about to route yet. Just know they are looking and checking out route to lay the pipeline. Not sure how much it even pays if they use your land to lay a pipeline.
i dont think there is any question of "if there is gas or not". it's just a question of "can they get to it?" there is tons of gas in natchitoches parish. dont worry about that. especially in the northern parts.

also, country? where are you located?
15 miles due south of the Messenger well.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
