It appears Cap and Trade, (better known as Cap and Tax) is heading our way, congress and senate should be put on election notice if this junk passes, but what if it passes? what should we expect on the oil/nat gas prices? combined with the devaluation of the US dollar, as other countries unload the US dollar. anybody have an idea of where we might see oil/nat gas prices?
my gut says prices will double up (minimum), but then again, it might stay the same. we just end up paying more for electricity, nat gas and propane, any ideas?

If Cap & Tax passes and that results in higher electricity bills, there will be a lot of people, who are currently without jobs, unable to pay their utility bills. Then, I suppose, our dimwits in Washington would have to figure out how to convince 9% of the country that they are much better off with cleaner air in spite of the fact that the air is freezing in their homes.
Maybe Mr. Charlie Rangel could give some of that (taxable) money he'd forgotten about to subsidize utility costs. He wouldn't miss it since he didn't know he had it.
It looks like cap an tax is hung up in the senate
If Crap and Tax and Screw actually passes, I predict it will have a devasting impact on our economy. An economy that is still on life support by the way. This will all but crater our economy, which will have a negative impact on the demand side of the equation. Why are gas prices low? Demand has fallen through the floor and supply has risen. With Crap and Tax, the economy will be even worse, business actiivity will further erode, being driven to foreign countries, which will further erode demand. There will be a small uptick in demand due to the clean fuel demands, but that will be swamped by the macro economic issues at play.
It's nothing but a scheme to not only extract more money from individuals but for the government to get to control individual's freedoms..
What will become of folks who just can't afford it?
And all for what?
