you can go to the agricultural dept in the county u are interested in and they can tell you of any leasing or drilling actitivy in that county..
hey i need to go there myself to see what is going on ,,,as we have rights on 80 acres about a mile or so behind genoa central school
There is a company getting permits to conduct seismic around the Genoa area. Talking with a broker, they plan to shoot several seismic lines if they can get the permits. They plan to do some leasing if the permitting goes well. Hopefully, they will then drill some wells in the area. You can call Ricky Talley at 870-234-7153 and ask if your land is where they might look.
Thank you, I really appreciate the info, as i really dont much about this,
Get ready Mller County!! A person or people just purchased all viewing rights at your local office . This includes the entire southern half of Miller County!
Allen viewing rights of what????????
Basically, they have purchased viewing rights from a local abstract and title company. A absttract company has allof this information very organized. This way no other oil and gas company can view them. They will have to look up records at the courthouse. This is almost impossible. This gives a hugh advantage to the company who purchased them! I wish the law would change to be likeLouisiana. Their laws transfer minerals with land after a period of time, unless its held by production.
I don't think I understand what this means. We own 100 acres around Doddridge. We have been contacted by a couple of logging companies but no O&G companies yet. Can someone explain what "purchasing the viewing rights" means.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
