son just call again tonight and said there is a flame again about the same size............so that is 2 nights in a row he is seeing this flame

I sure wish someone local could get a picture of the well at night. Pat where are you? Grab your camera and go!!!

i agree...........if my son would had leave in time and not be late for work he could had taking one with his cell phone ..........but wish someone close to there would take one

yeah, if i would only leave for work a few min earlier i'd be able to stop on the side of the interstate where cars are going by me at 80+ mph in the dark... but on the bright side that flame puts out a lot of light, as i said earlier the flame seems to be about 30 ft high from the interstate so it could be more, could be less. i dont think they would really welcome me trekking accross the field with a tape measure and fireproof suit in hand. anyway i hope this doesnt give people false hopes but i'm finally starting to get a good feeling about this. if only the oag companies would decide to buy a few more sections... like ours. everyone have a good day

Well, we certainly don't want anyone to get killed trying to take a picture of any well much less the messenger well. All the visual reports are encouraging and for that I'm thankful.

My mother saw the flame on her way back from Shreveport on Friday evening, so no doubt they are doing some testing!

the flame is still burning. they will do this for a couple of days and allow the formation to clean up. the well will them be put in line monday or tuesday and they will then know what the flow rate will be.

in regards to this well it would surprise me if anything was posted on for the next month. i hope your right but tomorrow is wednesday so im not holding my breath!

i passed by messenger well today about 1030am on I-49 and there was a big flame coming from it. i took pics from my car, with my cell. great stuff. (i hope) just letting everyone know.

Would anybody have any idea what size choke/ orifice wells are flow tested with or does it depend on the well/ operator. I guess they are flow testing the well and flaring to establish flows?

I heard that the shale was 100 ft thick. They are also laying an 8 inch pipeline to the well site.
