If you have land around the Olympia, did you get your letter today?

We got a letter today that indicates that Shell is getting ready to drill 25 wells in 25 sections around the Olympia. How long does it take to get the permits and then get the drilling started?

This is encouraging to me and makes me thankful I leased in May. Maybe leasing will pick back up in Sabine, since the Olympia was obviously a good well.

Steve, I think you are referring to the units being approved. You need to check Sonris for when a well is permitted for your section. I would expect some drilling in 2009.

Jack Blake, are you up closer to Pleasant Hill or down towards Belmont? If I am reading my maps correctly, you are nearer to PH. If so, you are 1 unit north of the upper NW unit of the 15 unitized sections that Murray 31 is in.
We are closer to PHill heading to Ajax.
Where is the Murray Well? What Township, Range and Section?
Is it in just one production uit (640 acres)?
Jack, the Murray Well is in Sec. 31, T10N,R11W. It is one unit of 640 acres. From what i have been told all of P.Hill is in 640 Acre units.
Thanks
Is the Murray well producing?
Are their rates form the Murray well?
FTP, choke size, gas rate

Are their any other producing wells around P.Hill and if so what section, township and range.
An inquiring mind wants to know.
Can you tell me if sec 4,t9n,r11w is listed on your map that you received?
4-9N-11W is not on the August 20 Map.
oh well... maybe next time... thanks

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
