We live in Austin TX and own 100 acres in Miller County in the Doddridge area. Does anybody know of anything going on in that area?

It will be awhile in my opinion before this bunch cotacts you. They have to start figuring out mineral ownership . That will tae awhile. Did you not understand my previous explanation as to what they are doing? Lets say that you are going to sell your land. Who is going to do the paperwork? Not the courthouse! It will be the abstract company. The abstract company will file it at the courthouse but they have a record themselves which they have very organized. It will take a very long time to look this up in the courthouse and only 3 minutes in the abstract office. Alot easier and faster. They basically are prohibiting anyone else from being able to walk in the abstract offfice and easily look up mineral right owners . They have to do it the hard way by going to the courthouse.
I have heard a rumor as to how much it cost them and it is substantial
i'm needing to file at the courthouse in texarkana tha i am the heir of my grandmother. just came across a mineral deed to her dated 1955. will this go to the abstract co. that sold viewing rights? or do you know the name of it or the company who bought from them? judy
I found that out. Wish we knew who the company was. Judy
EOG
thank you
I didnt know that it was E.O.G. in Miller County! I did assume it was. Do you know if Borders is still involved?
Will the abstract company disclose what sections of Miller County? We are in the Doddridge area.
In my opinion , no! I would just go by there and act stupid and tell them you would like to try and figure out what you have and see what they say. They will tell you if they can look it up or not! If they cant, then you know you are in the section that has the viewing rights purchased
It was my understanding that EOG bought the veiwing rights before their money pit well. I have not heard of any more activity in Miller from them since they pluged the well. I have heard they moved south-east along the state line fault.
My interest is around Fouke, and no action yet. judy
i don't haave a map, but i believe it goes at least from hosston through plain dealing, maybe spring hill, on through junction city and that a whopper of a well came in recently close to truxno (sp?) theyre not leasing very far up into ark
