I live in the Marthaville area and have seen the Messenger well with my own eyes flaring up since last Friday. The picture that was posted looked exactly like what I have seen, so I don't see how it could not be accurate. Just my opinion! Thx!

The well has been fraced and has an excellent flow as of Autustef 2008 that the welll had been repremitted as horizonal. they changed the well and went verticle.

Can you say that one more time? I don't understand what you just said. Are you saying that they did not go horizontal?

The well is a vertical well, not a horizontal well, permitted vertical, drilled vertical.

it seems to me that the well is verticle. they have fraced it, and are testing it. i dont think they can go hz after they frac and are flowing.

they will be going hz with the next well on messenger land. i believe a little northeast of this well.

now we just wait for results. however, dont get to confortable b/c this might take awhile.

Money is an issue, vertical can hold the 640 thats what they want to do, hold acres. Why spend the extra money when they can do it on the cheaper side, they can go out horizontal from the hole when they deplete the vertical. Gas prices are going to go up in the future why sell your gas at $8.00 when you can get $20.00 at a future date. This play is an infant but will turn to a monster in the near future. It takes time to put the infrastructure into place to move the gas.

They put in a re permit to go horizontal and then they withdrew the request from the State. I called and verified this yesterday. I am happy for the Messengers and I hope the other wells will be horizontal. (Just a guess)

DO YA'LL HEAR ME .... THIS WILL BE THE "MESSENGER WELL" unlike the other picture i had uploaded to use as my Icon that SOMEONE took & claimed as the Messenger Well !!!

I really haven't looked at any of the posted pictures so I have no opinion on whether they are authentic or not. I can tell everyone assuredly that as of last Sunday night, the Messenger well was flaring. I know because I went on I-49 and saw it for myself. In fact you could see the nighttime glow in the sky from as far away as the Lake End or Powhatan exit. Rough estimate (from a distance) that the flame was 30+ feet. I can also tell you when I rolled down my truck window it was easy to hear it roaring......and it was a great sound to hear.

Becca, glad to see the flame! Girl, you have got to be the most talked about person in Natch. parish. Perhaps things will calm down some for you all now. Send them down our way! Rebaited your cotton today. Crop is looking good.
