No problem about the comments, sometimes this site gets a mind of its own. My Sis is a cardiologist's RN up here. The big city of Winnfield stays in the news because of the "Taser Death".. I know both families very sad for both. Thats another subject. I hope someone decides we have some gas down in the parishes. From what I have learned just comparing the current well depths here with the depths down in Jackson and Winn, (for LCV),if the HS is there it will be very deep.(19-22K) " I ain't no Geologist but I did stay at the Holiday Inn...." I would lease with no bonus if they would drill my place just to find out.

Im a registered nurse. As far as Vernon goes, nothing wrong with it, I just wish that I owned property there. My great grandpa did, but I did not get any inheritance from him.

I have been on here for a while and have learned about seismic work around Brewtons mill, and 2 wells comin' in in Beinville around Mt. Olive. News skips all around Jackson and Winn (misses me completely). It will come around. Later, Woody

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
