Cynthia, I brought back an old discussion "Gray sands depth vs. Haynesville shale". Maybe we can get some input what to look for as the haynesville shale turns from a red sandy shale to the black gas charged shale being developed. In the past no one would touch on this subject, probably due to lack of information. Where this goes or dosen't go will tell us somthing, cjf.

Cynthia, first off how is everyone, fine I hope this holiday season. As to what this means, if you might be more specific. In regards to the formations described and associated depths, they closely match with the information I have. The perfs show to be in the Gray, but do not address the fact that where the gray is penetrated so has the haynsville which is a member of the smackover, not the cotton valley as described. XTO has consistantly stuck with the cv su description and in my opinion should be explained. There are others on this site far more qualified to answer our questions. Skip, Shalegeo, and the Baron for starters. E-mail me if you like and I will get you all the info I have and go from there. My e-mail address in carltonjan@bellsouth.net and look forward to hear from you! cjf

Hello! I hope the site is a place for you to learn, network and contribute. My name is Keith and I started the site in June of 2008 to open up lines of communication between landowners. Since then, we have grown to over 13,000 members.

Because our network has grown word-of-mouth, I want to encourage you to invite your friends and family by clicking here.

There are a couple things you should check out. 1) Check out current discussions. 2) Join in on the County and Parish Groups. By joining a County or Parish, you are networking locally with people who share similar concerns.

Be sure to read up on how to navigate the site HERE. This will help you get the most out of the site.

As a member, should you ever be on the recieving end of crudeness, rudeness or spam, let me know. The site is a peered monitored site and we need your assistance.
