The LAAP land was given to the state of Louisiana several years
back from the US government. Not sure who has the mineral
rights.

Have not seen any drilling permits for the LAAP, now called Camp
Minden, in the Minden Press Herald.

Check the Shreveport Sunday paper for all the well permits for this
area of north Louisiana.

The Minden Press Herald list all the well permits for Webster Parish
usually in the Friday paper, if there are any.
Wrong info , unless they are doing it without recent permits.
I talked to a high ranking employee of Camp Minden a few months ago, he said the mineral rights belong to the federal government. I think Camp Minden is approx. 9 miles by 3 miles, that would make a nice lease bonus check lol.
Must have retained them when they donated back to the state.
I was there today.....didn't see any O&G activity at all.
Snake, if I remember correctley the people that sold to the government back in the 40's kept the rights. I may be wrong it was back in the late 90's when I ran title for a cell tower on the property.
They move one long train(miles) of flatcars with looks like 42" pipe into camp Minden late this afternoon. A staging area for a pipeline?
Hey, maybe they should just revert to calling it the "Shell (Shale) Plant" like they did in the past!
