I have a well listed in my section on SONRIS and it is showing production numbers for the months of August and September. However, we have not recieved a division order or an royalty payments. I know that the payments are usually several months behind the months they actually occur in but I am wondering if there is any way to find out what is going on. If this well was drilled in our section but producing off of another section it would be listed on the other section and not ours, correct? Just wondering, it looks to be a fairly good well and I am hoping it pays off.

Eric. Without a well serial number or section-township-range, no one can answer your question concerning what section from which this well is producing. Keep in mind that the production listed for August is likely a partial month. Have you attempted to contact the operator?
Skip,
The section-township-range is036-15n-10w and the well serial number is 239751. I haven't tried to contact the operator, I honestly didn't figure it was already producing and just happened to notice the numbers a couple of days ago. Once I saw the numbers I started wondering if the numbers were wrong or if they were drilling into another section (my mind tends to wonder alot).
Eric. 1) The production from this well will generate royalty for all mineral owners in Section 36 - 15N - 10W. 2) Congratulations, this is an exceptional well. An IP of 17.223 MMcfd is above average but notice the choke (18/64" = just over a quarter inch opening) and 8300# Flowing Pressure. This well on a larger choke opening would be amongst the best reported to date. I would estimate the August production reported on SONRIS is not greater than two weeks. Since the well was turned to sales in mid-August, I think you should anticipate receiving your first royalty check sometime this month or next. Please keep in mind that your first royalty check will be for approximately 3 months' production. And all subsequent checks will be for one month's produciton. I hope you have a lot of acres in this unit. Best of Luck. I'll make a note to call you if I need a loan in the future. LOL! Regards, Skip
We have an interest in Murry #1 . They show it was turned over to sales on 1-20-09. Our first check was received in April near the end of the month. This was for the month of January. They have remained three month behind until Novemver and we didn't receive a check. Could you shed some light on this.
Teri, you should contact the operator through their royalty owners department which you can probably find on their website. I suggest you send an email and follow up with a phone call if you do not receive a timely response.
Thanks for the information. Only got 8 acres on a 560 acre section but I am not going to complain. Now I just need prices to go back to $10 or $12. Haha Never satisfied. Thanks for the help.
Eric. You will receive the royalty income generated from 6 to 8 unit wells over time. Your royalty checks will vary through the years but they should be significant income that managed wisely will benefit you and your children and your children's children. The price of nat gas will vary over the life of your well but none of us have a crystal ball. Nor can we affect the price. Just take what you receive, manage it to the best of your ability and be thankful for the opportunity. You are fortunate to have the opportunity to do so.
Is this also in 'Bossier shale' country?
Would it also be possible to see an additional 6-8 wells the kids and grandkids?
VSC, I'm out of town and don't have access to a map. I suggest that you ask Les B. He has mentioned that the Bossier will require separate horizontal wells. 6-8 HA and 6-8 BO could realistiacally equate to 50 to 60 years of royalty income depending on the pace of drilling.
VSC,
You are definitely in both Haynesville and Bossier cores. Happy royalties!
According to the Petrohawk cartoon map, YES to the Bossier. According to the Chesapeake cartoon map NO to the Bossier...........too far north! Stops at T13N to the east and T12 to the west, so VSC is correct IF you use the Petrohawk interpretation.
But VSC is in DeSoto South, not RR.
