I drove out 1277 this morning (I can't go to Lufkin anymore without taking a side trip) and the rig is still on the A-398 well. I took some pictures of the A-43 site but they are too far away to get a good idea of how much activity is really going on.

haha great pictures. Got some b*lls taking pictures of the site with a guy coming out of the site. They don't like picture taking so much.... Then I tell them who I work for and they get out of the way cause we make sh*t happen.
Thanks jffreel for the pictures. I am new at this so have some questions. Is there a map online showing the mineral owners, the leases, etc? We have gotten some info from the clerk's office but not enough to tie down locations. Petro Land contacted us in March for leasing but hasn't followed through. If I have my calculations correct, we are 1/8 to 1/2 mile south and south east of Goodwin. Any help would be appreciated.
Here is a link to the unit plat which clearly shows FM 1277 and FM 3316. That should give you some reference points.

Can't seem to get this image to open. Would you post it again?
BTW...Are any of you Goodwin descendents?
RWilliams, the problem with the plat is that it is a .tif image. You might need to download a tiff viewer to look at the map. I use this one:

It's easy to download... just follow the online directions and select the version for your browser. #1 is for internet explorer and #3 works with FIrefox and others.
Thanks. Got it this time.
I heard that.
It has been some time since we talked about the well "larger" than the Kardell.
i think it was west of town instead of east of town??? Any one remember this conversation??? I am going to search the "discussions"
farmbrad...just how "premium" was the fee in 2008?
Notice how calm I am??? I have quickly come to the conclusion these bits of "gossip" actually are based on fact.
jgarrett started the discussion on January 31, 2010.
The rumor was larger than the Kardell WEST of the airport.
"Larger" than the Kardell or a "gas factory" either one I say... MOTHERLOAD!!!
LOL!!! I knew you couldn't resist!
The premium was $5K an acre w/ 22.5% royalty on a three year deal. They signed alot of acreage from Jun - Dec 2008 at that price.
