pad site questions in Louisiana

Is there a law saying the minimum distance that well pad sites have to be from an inhabited dwelling? Down South Jack Blake has seen well sites right in the middle of neighborhoods.
Is there a minimum distance from an inhabited dwelling that oil companies use to decide where they will put a well pad?
Is there a minimum distance from an inhabited dwelling where they will put a compressor/booster station?
Is there a minimum distance from an inhabited dwelling where they will put an amine/H2S stripping unit?
Is there a minimum distance from an inhabited dwelling where they will put a pipeline?

Wells must have a minimum set back of 500' from an inhabited structure (dwelling or business) and 300' from an uninhabited structure such as a garage or storage building.

A Petrohawk lease says 500'from drilling activities, but they measure from the well bore. To me drilling activities is from the edge of location !!

The property owner can give permission to drill closer than the 500 foot state requirement. Just last week I got a landowner to sign a letter of agreement to drill 343 feet from his residence.

Jack should use Firefox. Firefox has a spell checker built in. Firefox will also protect Jack's computer from malware better than Internet Exploder. Jack will like Firefox.
