talk to landmen working for HK CHK XTO DVN All lease active is on hold for unknow period of time. All draft have been stopped on present deals, will not be paid and these lease will terminate at end of draft time period. They have cut production money. However the good news is they will continue to drill the leases they have which is enough land to drill for the next 20 years

anyone know how you get to live chat?
I remember not that long ago everyone who was anyone on this site was suggesting, if you get a lease offer, don't jump at it. Take your time, I was told. Don't get in a hurry to lease. Hold out to the last. Time is on your side.

Say it ain't so.
I have gotten emails about "live chat" ...how do you access that?

Thanks,

Mary
When there is a Chat going on it is on the main Page at the top

I didn't receive any Email notifications yesterday for last night's chat but I just checked and I now have three - I'm wondering if they're for tonight or last night?

Probably for last night.
I received them today but emails sometimes get delayed or even lost in cyberspace from time to time
Here goes Shreveport down the tubes
Gas Baron, sounds like you may work for Chesapeake.
No but I think that it is a good buy at this price. with a very good up side
You can't judge stock by the last month or 2
I think the market will stay above 8,000 or very close to it. and then come up. So I have my eye on several stocks. The only reason I said CHK was because they are the topic of discussion.

If CHK went under it would be by Merger , Buyout or Chapter 11
Most publicly-held companies will file under chapter 11 rather than chapter 7 because they can still run their business and control the bankruptcy process. Chapter 11 is a way to rehabilitate the business. Sometimes the plan returns the business to profitability; other time it ends up liquidating.

Under chapter 11, a company's stocks and bonds may continue to trade but the company must file SEC reports.

CHK value has nowhere to go up in my opinion

The are not some small fry wildcatter Exploratory Drilling
They are a large company with 100's of thousands of acres under lease in a Proven Gas Shale
The Haynesville Shale is not going away and CHK will not go under

Check out Rail Road Stocks they have dropped and are widely undervalued now. Another Good buy

Remember that the Market is risky at all times some more than others
Lots of "experts" thought it had bottomed out on Aug. 4th at $48. Did you think it was a good buy then? How about early this week when it was at $26?

People who try to get in at the absolute bottom usually find that they're early.
True Nobody can find the Absolute Bottom or Top unless it is luck.
I did not buy it at those prices and I am no expert
$26 was a good price $16.50 is even better
I have not bought it at $16.50 yet but I think it is a good price for a Company that has the Lions Share of the Haynesville Shale Leases

Of course this is just my Opinion and will be my $ to gain or lose if I buy CHK stock
Well, one possible positive is that, now that Aubrey's shares have been sold, there may be less selling pressure going forward:
