Did they ever start drilling? I passed by there before Christmas and it appeared they never did. What happened?

Joel, yes this well has been completed and udated on sonrise. This well location is just south of La 160 on La 3008 on the west side of the highway. Completed 10-29-2010, Gas, Gray, 1113 mcfd; 69.2 bcd; 16,083 gor, 16/64 choke, 62 grvty; 79 bwd, 3950# casing pressure. Perfs 10,750 -10,864. The info that stands out to me is that this well is in the northern region of the synclinal axis of the Louisiana Salt Basin and casing pressures right at 4,000 psi. It will be a well to watch I would think.
Thanks for the update. I would imagine as prices lift there will be more activity up there in Northern Webster. I will start watching.
January 2011 royalty does not show any increase so this well may not be too interesting
Has it improved any over the months? Over a six month period I have yet to hear if it has, Ms. Payne.
Thanks for the post Jack. Any info about t19N, r10w? I live and have property here close to Dubberly and have been keeping my fingers crossed for a while. Any insights would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Bruce, the only thing I have heard with out speculation, is that new leases in the play will slow until releasing is complete in an effort not to inflate release options. In my opinion, for the play to progress into our area gas prices will have to improve and pipeline capacity available because of the depth of the fomation and the complexity of the geology with salt movement in the basin. In our area, the leases are going to be held by drilling for shallower production where the Mooringsport, James, Hosston and Cotton Valley will produce in paying quantities. Sun Exploration is looking at the Minden field area and I look to see activity in the Hosston/Cotton Valley around the dome with in the next 12 months, IMO.

Bruce, above I stated Sun Exploration, correct that to Sunland Production Co.,Inc. also Brammer Engineering applied for a Mooringsport 640 acre unit in T19N, R08W, Sec. 6 and 7.
Bruce, in the above comment, what I should have stated is 2 320 acre units that adjoin to comprise 640 acres.
Jack thanks for the info. We have a pipeline(i believe texas gas) going through the back of our property. I always thought that would be something in our favor but like you said, gas prices have to increase. Anything else you can pass along in the future about my part of the parish, I would greatly appreciate. Have a nice weekend and thanks.

Jack,

Do you know if Brammer Engineering is looking at a different formation than the Mauser well?

                                                                                                             Thanks

Horseman, my information as of now is that they have rights to re-enter a couple more older wells in the Minden field and depend on the shows. The Minden field is primarily produced from the Mooringsport and the Hosston around the dome and it is this area that they are intrested in. I suspect leasing around the dome for shallow rights soon because of the recent activity with the DNR requesting the redefinition of the Hosston formation with the addition of Hosston units to the north of the dome in T19N, R08W, Sec. 08 and 09 by Sunland Production Co., Inc. and the request by Anderson Exploration Energy Company, L.C. for the creation of a Mooringsport unit in the se 1/2, of the sw 1/4 of sec. 18, T19N, R08W.
