Attached is a set of charts that show the historical trends in rig count for the Haynesville / Bossier Shale play.

 

I have also included a chart that shows the decline in well permits and rig count in Louisiana.

wow.  those are some dramatic charts. thanks for compiling and posting them.

T. Boone Pickens recently said to "follow the rig count" to track natgas prices ... gulp ...

No sense in taring and feathering the messenger

 

LesB-- thanks for chart it make what you and I were talking about the other day very clear about drilling  winding down in the dry gas fields :(   However we know the gas is still in the ground and not going anywhere so one day when prices improve with economy and demand They will be back to lease and drill again. When is big question that we all can only speculate about--- thanks again for great chart of what is truely going on in Haynesville Shale Nat Gas Fields Community.
