Does anyone on the ground have info on this well?

This has been shutdown for 9 months or so. We received a notice that they (Encana) were reapplying for a permit. Said they were reworking it.I have heard nothing since.

Thanks!

Any information regarding reworking of the well would likely only appear in the paper records of LOC District 6.  Although there is nothing in the Classic database to answer your question, I did find the following of interest.  Excerpted from the lease inspection report:

Well Site Comments: UNABLE TO TAKE GPS READING , GPS IS OLD AND HAS STOP WORKING

REMARKS:

AFTER VISUAL INSPECTION, THIS LEASE SITE APPEARS TO BE IN COMPLIANCE W / SWO 29-B.

UNABLE TO TAKE PHOTOS, CAMERA IS OLD AND HAS STOP WORKING ALSO.

Unfortunately non-functional equipment and staff shortages are a fact of life for many departments of state government.

You would think with all the new revenue that they could update their equipment some. Thanks for what you found. Going to try Encana to see what they say.

All state departments have seen hiring freezes and budget cuts.  They don't get the "new revenue", the state does.  If you don't get any information out of EnCana, let me know and I'll look in the well file the next time I'm up at the District 6 office.

Oh My!  I thought your headline said Louie Welch.  He's been shut in for a long time!  HA!

Where is this Lonnie Welch 20h 240705 well located? Thanks!

Near Pelican in Desoto Parrish.
