I just read the Washington Post article about the new domestic industrial boom fostered by our current low NG prices - posted on GHS by BJJ. Industries benefitting from this boom are reasonably skittish about anything they imagine could substantially raise gas prices. Here's a brief WSJ article about the possible effect of exporting US gas on our domestic gas prices.

The Haynesville Play site had an interesting read on a possible way around natgas export politics.

Site Rule 2) There is zero tolerance for unauthorized solicitations and spamming in forums or through the system. Solicitations include veiled commercial posts. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also forbidden. The posting of a website, email, phone number or address will be considered a solicitation. Permitted sites include news (not blogs), non-profits & government agencies. Also, utilization of one's profile photo or name to promote a biz is prohibited

Skip, what are you talking about?

You posted a link to a website blog.

Since when did the site become so anal retentive?  It is ok for you to make a sexual reference when I post about dry fracking and you then post a utube video joking about it???? What the hell is wrong with this site? It has become a joke.

The site rules have been in place since the beginning.  Websites including blogs such as the one you linked make money based on Internet traffic.  One way to drive traffic is to post a link on someone else's website.  That's taking advantage of Keith.  And that's why he has a rule prohibiting it.

News flash I don't own that site beyond the fact the site has been reposted on here a plethora of times.  The site is for sharing information and ideas not for people to act like a jackass like you did the other day and are doing now.

I'm aware that you don't own that site.  You appear unaware that there have been issues with that particular blog a number of times in the past.  Whenever I notice a link to it posted here I post Site Rule 2 to remind members that Keith has intellectual property to protect.   Keith has done the same numerous times. If you have a problem with Keith's rules I suggest that you contact him directly.

I actually did contact him last week and your name came up.  I talked about people like you and your smart ass posts ruin the site.

Any member may contact Keith to offer feedback.  I have posted the same reminder concerning Rule 2 numerous times in the past.  Nothing personal against you.  There is a compelling reason for Keith prohibiting the posting of links to blogs.  He occasionally makes exceptions to the rule and that's his perrogative.  There is a history with this particular blog.

Excuse me, this blog is not a "joke", it is still by far the leading blog on the Haynesville and the granddaddy of all other shale gas blogs around the US.  This blog is a chronicle of that history.

Skip Peel is one of the most helpful members on GHS. Take away all his posts and the blog is much poorer - but it's still not a "joke".  We could lose all my posts and all of Parkdota's posts and it would not hurt GHS and its members. However, GHS would be a lot poorer without Skip - but never a joke.
