FOR A LANDMAN: Change of address for override interest owner

Greetings,

We are moving and I am concerned about Landmen being able to find us.  What is the best method to insure my new address is associated with my mineral interests which are in several counties?

Thanks!!

Perfect, thanks Kathy!

Get a listed land line telephone.

Ahh, yes, I currently have a VoIP line that I thought would be beneficial because I can take it where ever I go but I need to find out how it is listed.  Thank you for your response!

I also use Spokeo to find People you may want to check with them and make sure they have your present address and then notify them of your new address. They show all of your previous addresses if you are in their system.

Mineral owners are not listed on the assessors tax rolls that I am aware of in Louisiana.

Great advice, thanks mucho!!

Since you said counties, you must be in Texas.  In addition to all the other good responses, you can always file a Notice of Change of Address in the land records.  Be sure to put the legal description of your property or properties and file it in each county where you own an interest.  A good landman will find it.

ATT has a new thing out. It's Wireless at Home. In my case it costs about half what a land line costs per month. They program your home phone in it and you plug your regular phones into it. It will not work with a fax machine though. You should be able to take it anywhere you have cell service and have old fashion phone service. I just got mine and will move over to it next week.
