Using various software, an interpreter can literally take a "cube" of 3D data and rotate it any way they want to "see" or visualize the reservoir from every angle - including from below.
And also load up directional data from horizontal wellbores to "see" where the wellbore actually penetrated the 3D cube section. In zone or out of zone / crossing faults / differences in rock properties.
