Can anyone tell me ANYTHING about the well going in on Hwy. 317 in Red River Parish
T14N R9W- Sec30 ? They have built a pad, are putting a fence around it and it looks like they are getting ready to put in the hole?

Trisha, I could not find any permitted well for this section but Samson has applied for the following Haynesville Unit:

S30-T14N-R9W, HA RA SUF Unit, Samson, Bracky Branch Field, Red River Parish
Samson is the company that has built the pad and is doing the work over there. Wouldn't you think they are doing a well? , or do you think it will be awhile since you can't find a permitted well?
Thanks!!
Trisha, yes I definitely think it is an indication they plan to drill in the near future. Samson may still be in the permitting process or as KB said the information just may not yet be available in Sonris.
Thanks for your input!
The Samson Countou well in 14/9 Section 30 was permitted today. You can view it on Sonris.
Thanks! Now being new to this, do I just type in Sonris or how do I view this?
Sorry, I'm just lost as you guys can tell!!
There are instructions on this site for using sonris. Just type it into the search engine at the top right corner.
I have found it, but I can't tell anything about it!!! If you can look at it and tell me anything about it, I would appreciate it, but it looks like there isn't enough information yet.
Thanks
Hi Trisha:

They have permitted a Haynesville horizontal well in that section. Samson has been poking around down there for a couple of years. I seem to recall that they recently applied for some other Haynesville Units down in that vicinity.

Best,

Jay Murrell
I will help you with sonris. The web site is www.sonris.com when you log in on the upper tool bar you will see a lighthouse icon, double click it and that puts you into sonris lite. On the first colume on the left there will be a line that reads wells by section township and range, just click there and type in the information, it will show all wells info for that section the last one will be the newest. Make sure you type in direction for the township and range 14n 9w.
Trisha, here is some info on the well from Sonris:
