I know 640 acres are in a section.
Question: How many sections are in T-10N R-11W ?

To put the question another way: How many ACRES are in T-10N R-11-W?

I found the map and discussion informative. Recently, Chesapeake filed to create 6 new drilling units in Reservoir A, Red River-Bull Bayou Field (T13N-R13W). Is there any similar activity in T13N-R14W by Chesapeake? Any insight appreciated. J. Mears

James. I have the following unit orders/applications for 13N - 14W, Sections 3-5, 7-10,17,18 to El Paso, 11,16 to Mainland Resources, 15,25,26,35,36 to Petrohawk, 27,33 to BEUSA (Bridas), 30,31 to XTO and 34 to Chesapeake. Not much Chesapeake. But plenty of others. 21 sections/units total as of 5/4/09.

Thank you Sir: With the information I have at hand, I have trouble following the ordering of the section numbers. They don't seem to be in sequential order N->S, E->W. Our (my brother & my) land is in, as best I can determine, T13N-R14W, in the equivalent position to Sect. 22 of T13N-R13W (SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of this 4mi. per side area). Naturally, I am interested in the probability of Chesapeake's placing a well in this section. We have also been solicited to sign a surface rights agreement for the purchase of a pipeline right-of-way across a portion of our land. This pipeline would seem to serve the proposed wells Chesapeake is planning to drill to the immediate East of us (and others alreasy in the immediate area?). Any pointers as to the going rates for such rights-of-ways would be of interest to us as well as future proposed well sites in our immediate vicinity.
