Does anybody want to divide up the site between Shale and everything else?

I would like to know if anyone else besides me is interested in a split home page with Shale threads on top, then all of the other banter below in a separate thread section. This separate thread section could still be active where the hot threads go to the top, but they would not compete with the Shale threads. Thoughts anyone? The current tone of the site seems to be non Shale.

Count me in.
Lots of things that sound good in theory don't necessarily work in practice, but a STRICTLY SHALE GROUP OR AREA sounds good to me.
Go for it Jay, I am with you.
I think this decision is up to the person that owns, maintains and pays for this site.
Let's face it Jay. There has not been anything too exciting going on lately. When things heat back up, I am sure we will once again be All about the Shale.
Yes, the decision is Keith's. And he appreciates feedback.
this site is left as it is, I would like to see the [off the wall] COMMENTS that has nothing to do with the discussion DELETED
I think he has a sense of humor. He enjoys some levity from time to time. I recommend it to everyone. Lord knows, we sure could use some in this day and age.
Cathaus,

I don't think the funny stuff is the problem (well it might be for a few).

I like when we can talk shale and have a little fun too, but a SERIOUS section only would be a welcome haven.
I would like such a split.
I also vote for the split
On the central main page, I see 20 discussions posted. Of those, 3 are categorized as political, 1 is categorized as "Out of Gas," 1 is categorized as financial and the remaining 15 are categorized as shale related topics. The majority of the topics are shale related, IMO.

The "hot" topics percolate to the top as responses are added. And if one is following a topic, how do any of the others interfere?

The blogs have their own split off to the side.

I'm not sure I understand the problem. The numbers don't support the notion that the main page topics are unfavorably weighted against shale topics, IMO.
