The Chesapeake well on our property has been off since June. Previously produced good until June. The lady at Chesapeake told me today that the well is waiting on workover. What does that mean and will it take a long time? This well is in Sabine Parish.

A very basic explanation is that some sort of "repairs" are needed. Maybe something with the equipment in the well, (damaged pipe, plug failure, etc.), or the well itself, (sand filling the wellbore). How long is a guess. Depends on what they find and how complicated the fix is.
