It looks like they did it with a short twin lateral (4000+ ft. in each) well bore. These long lateral wells that Anadarko is drilling is doing more damage to the formation than good. That's my opinion.

This is NOT an Anadarko well, and they are not drilling dual laterals in this part of the play.

I know that this is not an Anadarko well. My problem with Anadarko is they are drilling long laterals (over 8000 ft) in a formation that has no sand or shale matrix to form a wall cake. The mud will infiltrate the formation and plug it. If you follow the thread on the Dominique well that is where we have been discussing this. And yes the Antinum/Briggs well is a dual lateral of about 4000 feet in each lateral..

This is a well with twin laterals. One goes north, one south.

 

Quite impressive IP, will be interesting to see what their production looks like for the first few months.

Yes Baron, a very impressive IP.

If these wells are drilled correctly and mud infiltration into the formation is controlled this is what can be expected from Austin Chalk in this area. While you can expect a great drop in production in the first year the production should stabilize and be a 20+ year well. 

Yes, the crew with Antinum looks like they have the right formula for drilling wells in AC. I wish they were active in the area East of the MS River.
