2 Interesting Horizontals, non Haynesville Missionary Lake 23N 14W

Serial# 240355 and #240503
There has been heavy drilling in the Missionary lake field in the last 2 years, both appear to be the first horizontals permitted for this area, look to be horizontal Cotton Valley. TVD of approximately 10000 feet with a lateral of about 2500 feet. These will be the first ever horizontal wells ever in the area to my knowledge. This field has a good history of oil production from the Cotton Valley formation.

Not a problem at all, I think it is wonderful news as well. My family has interest in 600 acres just south of this area. Heartbreaking as it was to be left on the outside looking in concerning the Haynesville Shale it was a sad thought to be left with the meagre Nacatoh sand wells we do have. Hopefully this will be a harbinger of things to come.
