Fields? Units? North/West of Cross Lake. More things that make me go Hmmm?

I have been wondering about Fields. Who names a field? Does each field have a specified boundry or is it subject to interpretation? Does the HS exception to a pre-drilling field test change anything. Do Wildcat fields exist or is it catch all name for drilling outside named fields?

In the picture from sonris attached I'm wondering why the unitization of Section 4 is in the Longwood Field when it is a lot closer to the Cross Lake North Field. Are the Cross Lake North field and Walnut Bayou Fields new? I don't remember seeing them a few months ago?

I wonder why the state map doesn't provide section and T/R labels that go all the way to the state line? That bugs me. It's a conspiracy I'm sure.....I'm glad I don't live on the other side of the boundary that is not identified. Good night all.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
