I am thinking about having someone or a company represent me in negotiation. I was curious if anyone else had done this, and if they were as good as advertised. If so, which companies or individuals are the best?

msfva is right. do not be in a hurry, build a larger group and take your time.
If you have more acreage together you could get a different land company. I only deal with one of the companies that Chesapeake has subcontracted with no matter where the acreage I am representing is..and it is not Twin Cities.
I tried to deal with Ashley Energy and was told that they could not compete with Twin Cities. I know that Red River also represents Chesapeake.
There are several associations formed in this area. We are not opposed to joining forces when the time is right to do so.

Why not talk to them now and make some agreements while things are at a slower pace.

It seems like now would be the best time to join together.
