Does anyone know what our negotiator is doing? It seems that our neighbors who belong to other groups have signed leases and received signing bonus payments. Are we going to be left out in the cold?

are u referring to swshc?
Sorry, yes--the SWSHC
if you are i understand you.they posted an email on the website saying they are waiting for an offer at any day.they said that all paperwork has been in the companys hand since august.they also said if that leaseing slow down it will benefit us.i dont think that it will because if everybody around us is leased, that means that they can do a thing called force pooling or just leave us behind.if that happens i will be very upset.
That's what I am afraid of also. They say we have been expecting an offer any day now for a long time. But for some reason there is always a followup giving some other excuse as to why we have not received an offer yet. I don't think the leasing slow down will benefit us at all. I believe that we will lose out on bonus signing payments and we will be forced, as you said, to pool or leave us behind. I am very upset by the way the negotiator has handled our properties.
i fell the same way!my husband say's he is tired of me telling him what is going on and that all im doing is complaing.
Does anyone know what our negotiator is doing?our neighbor have signed,we live on pines road,Long Timbers area.
my husband and i last night figured out last night that if each homwowner received 10000 an acre, the negiator would make over 200,000.you would think that if he is going to make a pretty good amount of money, they would not prolong all efforts in trying to get leases for all of us.i think that all of us will get more than 10,000.
At this point, $10,000 would be better than nothing. I thought also, if the negotiator was to make great money from his efforts, he would really be trying to us a lease. Now I wonder.
I dont have a dog in your fight but what makes you think the negotiator isnt doing anything ?Have you talked to them? Just because someone else has signed doesnt mean that they even want your property right now. Then again if a $10,000 offer gets him $200,00 then $25,000 gets him 1/2 a million! If he is working for a fee then he may be working for his best interests as well as the groups. If you signed a letter of intent with this group then you may have to pay them even if you go with someone else.It may be best ,in this major slow down, to just cool your jets and wait till business picks back up.You dont have much choice anyway. If you were ever going to get top dollar , it aint gonna be this month for sure!If you have now decided that $10,000 is enough then the tactics of the O&G have done their job.
i did not say that we are getting 10,000.i was using that as an example!and yes i have spoken to them.they say be patient.as a matter of fact i checked the website and they explain the reason why it is taking so long. i was also told leasing was not going on in texas and arkansas, but was slowing down in LA also that petrohawk quit last month because lehman brothers had business with them!so i fell a little better now since checking the website.
paula,
check the website, there is some explanation and maybe some encouring news about an optimistic offer.
Thats good to here R.S. I didnt say you were getting $10,000 either.I was making reference to another post and meant nothing of the figure. It was used by another poster as well as yourself. You just need to remember that discouraging remarks about your group will do nothing but harm.Everyone in your group that makes it to signing day are in this together. You will lose some just as every other group has and will continue to do.The main thing is that you guys be as supportive as you can to each other and especially toward the leadership of your group.Even if you are paying them for their services you need to be supportive. They are still people first and foremost. If this was an easy task then everybody would be doing it.Good luck to you and yours and remember you are all in this together.
