Question for anyone and everyone. I've been meaning to ask but referring to these 2 wells;

Well SN 238707
Well SN 238523

Neither one of these appear to me to be horizontal, and 1 well, 238707, is only going to 6500 feet and the other going to 11000 feet.

Why would they only drill to 6500 on the first well?, my understanding being that the shale is in the 11000 foot level?
Are these just vertical wells they are working only to seal the leases? and later they will come back and horizontal drill?

Thank you in advance.

TM, the first well is permitted for 12500' which would be sufficient to penetrate the Haynesville although I am not sure if that is the target. The second well is permitted at 6500' as a Pettit well not Haynesville Shale.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
