southwest shreveport

I am in a large group(2900+) in sw shreveport and am waiting with the rest of the members for an offer from the o/g companes. Whats a reasonable amount to expect for a sign on bonus for 1/4 acre of land?

i am in sec 16 near kingston and williamson way-idont know if theyre still taking sign-ups. I think the pinecroft group is still taking members and their legal help is charging something ridiculously low-like 25$ per plot w no % or royalties.

Good question.... Also in south Shreveport, on Aug 4th, "the DeepWoods Group voted unanimously to accept Chesapeake's offer of $22,500 per mineral acre at 25% royalty for a primary term of 3 years with a 2 year option." This was on their website. www.deepwoodsgroup.org/

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
