On Sonris, well #241444 in Elm Grove Field, states plug & abandon, what does this mean exactly? Is it the same as #242358?

Maybe we are seeing something diffrent. Looks like both are permitted but not yet drilled.

 

241444 will be a well in Section 18.

 

242358 will bottom out in Section 30.

 

Neither well will be completed in Sec. 19, just where the surface locations are.

That is just the way the form is set up on Sonris. As work progresses on the well, the applicable information will be entered in the form. Look at any well on Sonris, wells that have not been spud will look like this one, and wells that have been completed will have information under the applicable headings. If and when the well is P&A'd, the date will be listed under that heading that you are looking at.

Smith, well status code is 01 (Permitted).
