Does anyone have any news to report about these? It is my understanding they have been drilled but not completed. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Julie, please consider starting a Legacy Reserves discussion in the Shelby County group when you have time. Time to wake those members up, see who is still hanging around. :-)
Julie, have there been previous HA/BO wells drilled in proximity to the new Legacy Reserves' well? If memory serves, only a portion of the county was perceived as perspective for economic shale in the past. Do you think this may create some new leasing?
Hey, yeah I am hoping the rig count won't go negative on us like everything else LOL. I will say I have been inundated with mineral buyer offers. I cannot wait for these prices to turn around as the natgas market firms up. It may be the only thing going in the patch for a while. Thanks for the update.
Here is info on the Legacy well / set surface casing in early June / Bason #105 rig (spudder unit?).
Legacy also is now listed as the operator for the offsetting 6100' (James Lime) well (42-419-30865). They have filed an "intent to P&A" form for this well. Assume they picked it up with their lease in this area.

According to plats filed withe RRC there are four pads with 8 northerly laterals (2 stacked ea) and four pads with 8 southerly laterals (2 stacked there too). I have not ever seen this configuration around there. Can someone please elaborate if they have information they can share.
They don't even mention anything outside of their Permian Basin activities on their website
Suggestion. We seemed to have mixed the new Legacy Reserves Shelby County well in with this discussion of Aethon San Augustine County wells. This will be a problem going forward. I think we need to keep this thread focused on the Aethon wells as originated by Lessor and start a new discussion in the Shelby County group for the Legacy Reserves development activity.
See this new thread in the Shelby County Group. Please post Legacy Reserves info there.

Thanks Skip, I was trying to figure out just what transpired there!
Aethon has filed all the standard regular applications, permits, drilling reports, etc. at the RRC and show all drilled just no completion reports. May be due to current industry woes or pipeline takeaway issues, or who knows? Everyone is adjusting to what I call the "new abnormal".
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
