The DNR Sonris Scout Report show 3 wells permitted by Anadarko. One dated 1/17/2013 and the other 2 permitted 9/13/2013. All are Initial Reports with no activity since permitting. Has Anadarko's focus changed?

Probably like many other operators that have spent all their 2013 budget. Sure would like to see an increase in interest in the AC. Yuma seems interested and drilled a decent one around Sugartown. Midstates has some leases that the clock is ticking on in the same area as Anadarko.

APC has seven rigs under contract in the region.  The bulk of the rigs have been drilling in Panola and Rusk counties in Texas for the last several years.  I suspect that APC is nearing the point where they will complete their drilling program in E TX and shift their rigs to other areas.  I expect one or more of those rigs will move to Vernon Parish.  The well permits in Vernon are effective  for 12 month periods.  The first will not expire until 3/5/14.  The second two are effective until 9/13/14.

Two Dogs, are you sure about the Yuma well? May be scuttle butt ,,,I heard one load a day.

Yea I looked again and they now say they made a mistake in the original IP numbers. What you wanna bet they go down instead of up?

Just for the "heck" of it I went to the national oil clearinghouse last night and did not see The Anadarko Louisiana leases for sale listed under their negotiated transactions listing.  I wonder if they gave up trying to sell or something happened?  Anybody know anything? Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

Anadarko may have abandoned it's effort in the SW Vernon Parish Austin Chalk. They drilled a good one, and it went to nothing in ten months time. Meantime, there have been other failures in the area. The chalk is just too doggone iffy. But it is a good way to hold large acreage for the TMS. Which may be a little iffy itself that far west.

And yes, Happy Thanksgiving  to all.

CS,

Thanks for checking on that. I'm kind of guessing that maybe someone bought it and is not ready to announce. It would be a pretty good deal for any number of companies interested in AC or TMS. If this is what has happened, my guess is its Midstates. They seem to be one most interested in pursuing the AC at this time. That would also answer the question why Anadarko has not moved on the Vernon Parish wells. Those properties may be in the deal also.

Hope everyone had a Great Thanksgiving. We had family (25 or so) at the house and I ate way toooooo much.

thanks for the reply.  I guess all anyone can do is keep our fingers crossed!

John,

I replied to CS and it should have been to your post. I hope someone that knows what to do in the AC picks up the acreage and makes some good wells.
