This 3 well/unit drilling program appears to be a very well thought out program. It will test the AC from just North of the shelf to the MS/LA state line. This should give them excellent basic…Continue

Navidad drilled an AC well in Texas in 2011 and did a classic completion and stimulation of the AC. They pumped 280,000 lbs of sand, 130,000 gal of acid, 44,000 lbs of acid flakes and 80,000 bbls of…Continue

Good Morning Everyone, Well I have confirmed through several sources that the leasing in the Felicanas and Northern East Baton Rouge parishes is ConocoPhilips. The lease prices have gone from $250…Continue

We have been contacted by two different land men. One is working the West side of Zachary - T5S R1W. The other is working the East side - T4S R1E. Each is saying that he is working 100,000 acres.…Continue

Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |

Thanks, Joe. Please keep an eye out for CINCO ENERGY LAND SERVICES, LLC. They have had major energy company clients in the past and recently registered in LA (7/15/17). I'm looking to figure out where they are leasing.
Okay, Joe. You've got my attention now. :-) I'm curious if you are aware of the name in which CP's leases are being taken? I don't expect that they are doing so in their name. And the Area of Interest seems to be quite large so they may have more than one land company working this prospect. I wish EOG and CP would not divvy up the play area and get in some real competition but I suspect that you are correct that EOG will not get in a bidding war with CP.
Good Monday morning Joe. My main source for hearing conversation about leasing around West Feliciana is to listen on the sidewalk outside of Church and to listen at Dinner Parties. My wife and I did both this weekend and though the owners of large tracts would not give up much, it does seem that the offers are getting much better, at least that is my impression. The discussion on GHS about leasing to 1334 is insightful to our situation. So far as I can tell, no one will admit having discerned if any of the competing persons making offers are with EOG or that all are "flippers." Reading what Skip Peel says in the before mentioned discussions, some of these guys have the acerage to demand that information. So I sit tight. Charles
Thanks Joe, my mobile is 225/252/3213 . . . we have terrible service out here in the country (near Wakefield) but a chance to talk would be appreciated. Thanks, Charles Jenkins
Joe, my name is Charles Jenkins . . . I am a resident of West Feliciana Parish and am watching with interest the lease possibilities being put forth here. I remember with appreciation your analysis from the TMS days and would like to talk with you about our current situation, if you would be willing. I am not associated with any Oil or Gas Company, just an old retired guy. I used to post on GHS under the name of Cocodrie Man. Hamilton Willis suggested I would do good to talk with you. If you are willing, I will send to you my mobile number. Thanks
Happy New Year, Joe. FYI, Robert Johnson is an Internet promoter who gets paid for posting articles about a client, in this case "Oil Guru" Dr. Daniel Fine, in as many parts of the Web as possible. It helps make Fine look like an expert, whether he is or not, if someone googles his name. You will notice that Robert Johnson never makes a reply. He only posts discussions and then "favorites" his own discussions. Keith and I have discussed Robert Johnson and his use of GHS to promote Dr. Fine but don't see any reason to take any action as long as the rules are observed and members don't object.
Joe, I'm out of town visiting a friend with a new lake house. I'll get back to our discussion when I get home.
joe, fyi. The "detailed reports" posted by John Matherne are not compiled by him. They are regular reports from the database which he has downloaded. He does deserve credit for spending the time to find them but the more one uses the SONRIS databases, the easier they are to navigate.
Joe:
Thanks for friending me. Your information and insight furnished for the readers is much appreciated.
Thanks John
