This 3 well/unit drilling program appears to be a very well thought out program. It will test the AC from just North of the shelf to the MS/LA state line. This should give them excellent basic information about the formation over a very wide area. The next step is to see what they plan as for the actual drilling, completion and stimulation of the formation. Will they drill, complete and stimulate as a sand/shale well or will the they use practices more towards the unique characteristics of the AC. Time will tell. Again, An interesting drilling program that will yield a lot of information.

We have received a hearing notice with the attending interested parties listed. Also a Section map laying out a new 6 unit project.

Robert, the completion design is generally in line with what I see for horizontal plug and perf Haynesville Shale wells.  I'll leave it to others to comment on how that may be different for an AC well completion.  The perforated lateral length is 5365'.  Each frac stage would be about 134'.  Slightly longer than the current average for Haynesville wells which is about 100'.  The proppant load would be about 3205 lbs./foot which is comparable to the volume of sand used in latest design Haynesville wells.

Thank you.

Anyone have an update on this well?   I"ve viewed Sonris but unfortunately don't understand a lot of the information it shows.

Bill, I suggest you go to the main McKowen discussion.  It is much more current than this older discussion.  Use this link,
