Appear to me to be Petrohawk wells so far. 17-20 million/day.
On Sonris, these 2 horizontal wells drilled by Chesapeake had the highest numbers in actual reported production. There are a lot more reports that I have not read though and some wells had a higher potential but no production reports.

Serial No. 237384
Sec. 27, 15n 15w
291,985 MCF production for the month of July, 2008

Serial No. 237457
Sec. 7, 15n 14w
256,525 MCF production for the month of June, 2008
Good approach, insomniacnla. All IPs that I have seen are on a choke. If the choke orifice is not the same, how could we compare IPs? First month production is better but there is still the question of the choke. Open flow production would be the only accurate means of comparing wells that I can think of.
Many wells have been choked back because of pipeline restrictions. i'm sure there is way to convert possible production based on choke and the wellhead pressure , but that is beyond my paygrade.
Baron, ditto. I'm not even on the payroll.
The real question is what will the best wells be a year from now. initial production is great, but how long they hold up is more important
Ah, decline curve. One of my favorite topics.
I would have to include Questar's 16 MMcfd well and EnCana's 15 MMcfd well both in Red River Parish. And of course EnCana's 5.7 MMcfd vertical well in Natchitoches Parish.
Don't know about "best" but here are three that look pretty good. What are your thoughts?

The McSwain Well No. 6 bottoms at 12,460 feet nine miles southwest of Center in the Stockman Field. This well was drilled by Devon Energy. On adjustable choke, it potentialed 5.400 million cf of gas in the Cotton Valley formation.

On 64/64-inch choke, the Weaver Well No. 1 potentialed 10.072 million cf of gas. This well was completed 11.2 miles southwest of Center in the Angie Field by Cabot Oil & Gas. Total depth is 13,269 feet. Production is in the James Lime formation.

Devon Energy completed the Case Well No. 3 in the Stockman Field to 12,430 feet. Location is 10.8 miles southwest of Center. This well was gauged on an adjustable choke and potentialed 11.559 million cf of gas in the Cotton Valley formation.
Gosh Darn,
There you go again. Tickled for all of your family. But what the heck well are you talking about?
Jus wunderin. And by the way, drillers don't list royalty participants, just operators. My guess is the Elm Grove Plantation well.
Thought you were just saying any well that was paying you royalty would be a good well. I'd say that would be true for me.
I don't know about the best well but the Olympia Minerals in Sabine Parish had so much pressure that it broke the casing and will have to be re-drilled. At least that is the talk on the street.
