Sorry i can't add a video link of his remarks... and despite my misgivings about Chesapeake... Aubry McClendon should be commended for all the things he said on CNBC this afternoon.  I just wished he'd taken it a lot further by slamming congress and the administration's lack of leadership on energy policy.  His bottom line... we are paying many countries that hate us... billions of dollars a year for oil when we could be energy independent with our own supplies!!!!!   It's so DANG FRUSTRATING!  Maybe i should have added this to the Why are we so STUPID discussion.

Very good... thanks! I knew someone could post it.
jffree1 is indeed computer worthy!
The interview was great. I wish I had Aubrey's email address so I could send him a commendation. Finally ...someone calling it like they see it. I just typed a long response to the "Why are we so stupid?" thread and deleted it. So many reasons, so little time, and possibly the wrong thread to go into it in.

I'm thinking O/G companies will lead us out of the energy crisis... plus business will lead us out of the economic mess.  Then the government will step in and say... you're making so much more money... so we'll tax you some more and how about these regulations... and screw everything up again.

Jack Blake just watched the news clip.  It does not matter if you have a NG well or not-what Aubrey says makes perfect sense.

Yes, very good.... thanks for posting!

Hail, Aubrey.  That is the plain truth.  We are chained to countries who hate us as Americans.  This is why I will not vote for any politician who does not support a platform to move us away from an independence upon these countries and forward to a self-dependent America using our own natural resources.  This is a big reason that I so much like Sarah Palin.  Okay, topic for another discussion board.  I also feel that it is only when gas prices are high that most Americans start buzzing about accomplishing a break with these American hating countries who have us in their back pocket (right where they want us!).

About Chesapeake....I know they get a bad rap from a lot of the shalers here.  Yes, I admit they pay a bit less to royalty holders for their gas because they are a mega company.  But, I have to say from my personal experience with Chesapeake that they have been fair.  I have stock in them which is finally coming up again.  I received an extremely nice lease from them and every time I have called them, whether it be the Shreveport office or in OK, they have always promptly returned my calls, been extremely pleasant, and did everything possible to answer my questions and be totally helpful.  I truly like the way that Mr. McClendon is very down-to-earth, sincere about his views, engaging, and all while wearing his collar and tie.

I am awaiting Henry to say a few kind words about Cheasapeake.
Henry is A-OK... and doing all of us a nice service.
Oh I agree.....just do not think this will change his mind overall as a lot of other people. Aubrey is akin to a smooth politician. Give him credit, he knows what time it is.
I agree, Chesapeake reps are very nice when you call them about anything.   But that does not alliviate the fact that Chesapeake is selling "our" gas at a much lower price, to their affiliate, than what the other companies are selling gas for.  Chesapeake is reaping the rewards at our expense!!!!!  Aubrey should be ashamed of what he is doing to the Lessors!!!!!!
