Chesapeake reports they sold our gas at the following prices:

April $1.07
May $1.30
June $1.43

I hope each and every elected official who reads this post understands that you have an obligation to represent the people who elected you. Stop allowing these operators to steal from us! Dont tell me its a civil matter, get an attorney, blah blah and blah. Introduce some legislation to stop this theft or plan in working for chesapeake after the next election

I was pretty upset(not the word that I wanted to use) when I looked at my measly check this month. Especially when I looked at the gas price that was paid. What are other gas companies paying compared to CHK?

Alas, I have not been collecting price data lately.  I think a couple of posts from people who have Petrohawk or SWEPI/EnCana as their drillers would answer the question.

Join the crowd. all i can say about it, it was slightly better than last month. not nearly up to the price gas is supposed to be selling. i think chk is getting the scoop from all these complaints.

I amazes me how that Jindal is an all about the bottom line conservative yet he allows millions of tax dollars to escape capture by allowing this sort of business to occur.  Chesapeake will make millions over the years from this unethical business practice.  Will Louisiana ever collect a tax on that?  No way, the profit gets washed by so-called losses from other areas of the company.  We, the voters, don't have the same luxury, so we would have to pay taxes, local and state, on the income.   He has the strong arm at this time in the state, why not push this one for the voters?  Maybe he doesnt want to bite the hand that is feeding him.

This is a prime example of how this state ends up at the very bottom of every list.

My check for June 2012, received sept 8 2012:

1.49--1.60==1.53-1.63 one well did not have a payment this month.
