Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ: CLNE) shares rallied to a positive finish for the week after the company today announced it has entered into an agreement with Dillon Transport regarding the building and operation of an LNG and CNG fueling station. The station will be situated on Dillon Transport’s property in Dallas and will be open 24 hours a day. It will also support Dillon’s fleet of clean burning and LNG powered tanker truckers. Dillon operates its fleet throughout the U.S. and Canada. James Harger, chief marketing officer of Clean Energy Fuels, said, “With the availability of new class-8, 2010 EPA-compliant natural gas trucks from several major manufacturers, regional and national trucking operators are transitioning their fleets to natural gas.”
The company also recently announced its financial results for the fourth quarter of the year. The company reported its net income at $13.8 million. The company had incurred a loss of $1.9 million for the previous year quarter. Excluding special items, the company earned a profit of $0.17 per share, surpassing the analysts’ expectations of $0.6 per share in income. The company reported its revenue at $83.2 million.
Clean Energy Fuels is engaged in the business of providing natural gas and alternative fuel for vehicles. The company is mainly operational in the United States and Canada. Clean Energy Fuels designs, builds and operates fueling stations. It also supplies renewable biomethane. Clean Energy Fuels owns and operates gas fueling stations. The company was formed in 2001 and is based out of California.
The company stock is currently trading at $13.34, up 3.49% from its previous close. Clean Energy Fuels stock opened at $13.15 and touched the high of $13.48.
