Dang Robert, I wish I paid more in State than Federal. I wrote Unca Sam a 6-figure check last year due to some inheritances, stock options, etc. And now the greedy bastards want more!

Well, no I won't give up on it without a fight. I'm deferring a lot of my salary this year for at least 5 years, hoping that some in this country realized that we can't survive at confiscatory tax rates and they will change them later. I'm investing as much as I can in municipal bonds so that the government won't get anything. At least until Unca Barry goes after that. He's already clawing back deductions for charity, but he's going to make that up by giving the charities tax money!!! Yeah, cuz the government always knows how better to donate OUR money than we do! With money comes control and he wants to control the charities, turn them all in to ACORN (the good felons that they are).

Just checked the Bill of Rights...nope didn't include Health Care.

I think its just one more government controlled program that will end up being a mess. Look at Canada and the UK. Then look at the number of rich Canadians and Brits that come here for their healthcare!! That will tell you how those systems work! Its not the best.

If they can come up with a way to not control what doctor I go to, whether that doctor can only see government clients versus a mix of clients, and they don't force every employer to offer health care, then I guess you can just add it on to the heap of welfare perks we give away to the masses. Why not? When tax rates are going to 40-45%, why stop there? Let's take it up to 80%? Heck, why not just give it all to the Man!

Common sense cannot be taught, or it cannot be bought.
Some people got it, some people don't.
I figured out at young age, a square can fit where a circle should be.
And it doesn't matter how long, or how hard, you try to convince me otherwise,
