People around me have been getting division order letters but me and others have not. THe division orders are from petrahawk. So it would seem they all sighned with Petrahawk. The rest of us sighned with CHK and they are the ones who drilled our well. Will the people who sighned with CHK get a division order also?????

I have 3 separate ones now. Two for section 30 and one for section 31. When added up also came up short. I have seen some petrahawk Division orders and they are EXACT to what was on the owners lease. Mine was .43 and should have been .50. Granted CHKs are close but do they have some sort of tolerance either way or something. This is not their first Rodeo. Are they taking advantage of the fine print if there is any or something?? I have not heard back From CHK either. Not sure I will. Anyone out there have any of these problems with CHK in the past? There are several experts on this forum who could help us out if they would see our post.
Hi - this is Katie with Chesapeake. I know several of you have been discussing these issues with our Division Orders group. If there's anything I can do to further assist, I'm happy to do so. Thanks!
Katie,Thanks for the reply. My concern was the fact that the division orders total acres does not add up to whats on my lease. its .07 short or about 2% short.Others in in this section also have the same problem. I just got an e mail from CHK with a letter that shows the method used to calculate the amount of land we own. Methods or not should the division orders not add up to what we leased to CHK??? So is everone going to donate 2% of their land to CHK??? Would appreciate any help on this matter.
Hey RJ - I can put you in contact with someone who can break down the math and explain the answers to your questions. If you would like to speak with them, message me. Thanks!
Hey Katie, Larry, who also reported a problem says he found the math error. HE said he has wrote CHK and is awaiting a response. He explains what he found on his post about CHK community lease. You can find it on the todays top content. I can also pass it on to him if you have a person that could look at his figures.
Great! Let me know if I can do anything!
RJ,
many times the lease acreage is just a close approximate. thats why the discription says.. ,ore or less.
Baron you may have a good point. However I wonder how many times it is less rather than more as in this case. Thanks
Hi Katie,
Is there any way you can tell me what my royality check will be. I know it is supposed to mailed out on the 29th just anxious to know what the amount might be.
Thanks,
Bec
Hi Bec!
If you call our contact center at 1-877-CHK-1GAS, they can look at your specific lease and go over what the royalty payment might be. Payments are based on a variety of factors and can fluctuate from month to month. Let me know if you have any questions or need help with anything!
Thanks!
Katie
Our well has been producing since April 2011, and still no DO!! I wrote an email last week and was told I needed to be patient!! REALLY. CHK, scares me right now. The age old excuse of being behind, well there is a limit, and if they are that far behind then THEY need to address the issue. I've been told of nightmares such as this with CHK
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
