The Staton Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 2 was completed to 12,033 feet 7.3 miles northwest of Wells in the Doyle Creek Field by XTO Energy. On a 16/64-inch choke the well potentialed 1.322 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Travis Peak.
Ellis County
The Bontke Unit Well No. 4H and the Bontke Unit Well No. 6H were completed in the East Newark Field by EOG Resources 5.3 miles northwest of Midlothian.
The No. 4H hit 11,245 feet and potentialed 3.937 million cubic feet of gas on a 64/64-inch choke.
The No. 6H hit 12,245 feet and potentialed 4.375 million cubic feet of gas on a 64/64-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

The Verhalen “A” Well No. 5H hit 17,525 feet 8.1 miles northeast of Marshall in the Carthage Field. On a 24/64-inch choke the well potentialed 6.489 million cubic feet of gas in the Haynesville Shale formation.

The Jayhawks DU Well No. 1H was completed by XTO Energy to 19,275 feet 5.9 miles north of San Augustine in the Carthage Field. On a 17/64-inch choke the well potentialed 10.259 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.
XTO Energy completed the Mavericks DU Well No. 1H to 17,509 feet 7.2 miles northwest of San Augustine in the Carthage Field. On a 12/64-inch choke the well potentialed 6.032 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.
Shelby County
The Rebels SU Well No. 1H is 12.9 miles southwest of Center in the Carthage Field. Exco Operating completed this well to 18,240 feet. On a 20/64-inch choke the well potentialed 13.737 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.
On a 23/64-inch choke the Hinton Well No. 1H potentialed 9.072 million cubic feet of gas. EnCana Oil & Gas completed this well to 16,965 feet 6.6 miles east of Center in the Carthage Field. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.
Devon Energy completed the Franks Estate Well No. 1 to 10,281 feet 12 miles northeast of Center in the South Stockman Field. On a adjustable choke the well potentialed 2,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Pettit.
The Carthage Field has seen the KC GU Well No. 1H drilled by Chesapeake Operating to 15,630 feet 6.9 miles northwest of Center. On a 20/64-inch choke and potentialed 2.679 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.
Smith County
In a lease 15 miles northeast of Tyler, in the East Starrville Field, the Rex Well No. 1 was completed by Jamex to 9,000 feet and flowed with 57 barrels of crude. No choke size was recorded. Production is in the Travis Peak.
Goldston Oil completed the Goldston Fee Well No. 1 to 7,447 feet 1.2 miles south of Sand Flat in the North Hitts Lake Field. On an open choke the well flowed with 28 barrels of crude. Production is in the Paluxy.
Tarrant County
XTO Energy completed three wells in the East Newark Field.
The Mansfield Sports Complex Unit Well No. 3H hit 11,715 feet with the city limits of Mansfield. On a 24/64-inch choke the well potentialed 3.520 million cubic feet of gas.
The Freddie Unit Well No. 7H hit 9,631 feet 1.7 miles southwest of Rendon and potentialed 2.096 million cubic feet of gas on a 30/64-inch choke.
The Sue Barnett Unit Well No. 1H hit 9,808 feet 6.7 miles northwest of Mansfield and potentialed 1.665 million cubic feet of gas on a 30/64-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

Chesapeake completed six wells in the East Newark Field.
The Barron Well No. 1H hit 13,825 feet within the city limits of Arlington and potentialed 430,000 cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke.
The McCulley Well No. 5H hit 10,976 feet 6.7 miles southeast of Fort Worth and potentialed 2.257 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke.
The Smith Well No. 4H hit 12,623 feet within the city limits of Arlington and potentialed 3.838 millio cubic feet of gas on a 1-inch choke.
The Risinger Well No. 9H hit 9,702 feet 1.7 miles northwest of Crowley and potentialed 1.368 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke.
The Welch Well No. 1H hit 13,870 feet within the city limits of Arlington and potentialed 1.435 million cubic feet of gas on a 1-inch choke.
The Risinger B Well No. 3H hit 11,660 feet 1.7 miles northwest of Crowley and potentialed 3.187 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
Devon Energy completed the Clifton Tannahill Gas Unit “A” Well No. 5 to 10,995 feet 4.3 miles west of White Settlement. On an open choke the well potentialed 2.513 million cubic feet of gas in the Barnett Shale.
Upshur County
Verado Energy completed the Ernest Bowers Gas Unit Well No. 5 to 10,590 feet 6.5 miles west of Gilmer in the Rosewood Field. On a 16/64-inch choke the well potentialed 1.944 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.
