Chesapeake Operating will drill four wells in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field to 12,000 feet. The Kelley C. Childs Well No. 1H, No. 2H, No. 3H and No. 4H are 13.5 miles southwest of Dallas in the A. Jenkins Survey, A-713.
Freestone County
Apache Corp. will drill the Glaydene Neal Well No. 7 to 8,000 feet 9.4 miles east of Streetman in the Northeast Stewards Mills (Rodessa) Field. The well is in the J. Bradley Survey, A-53.
XTO Energy will drill the George Fulton Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 24H and the George Fulton Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 25H to 19,000 feet .7 miles southwest of Donie in the Farrar (Cotton Valley Lime) Field. These wells are in the Nathaniel Peck Survey, A-820.
Harrison County
The Abney 1215-Abney A (Allocation) Well No. 9H will be drilled by Devon Energy 4.7 miles southwest of Waskom in the Waskom (Cotton Valley) Field. The well is in the J. Shandoin Survey, A-622.
Prenwell will drill the Turner Well No. 2 and the Miller Well No. 2 in the Panola Field.
The Turner Well No. 2 will hit 2,550 feet 20.3 miles southeast of Marshall in the J.H. Harrison Survey, A-329.
The Miller Well No. 2 is 20.6 miles southeast of Marshall in the J.H. Harrison Survey, A-329.
BP America drill the John G. Brown Heirs Gas Unit Well No. 2H to 11,250 feet 5.1 miles southwest of Woodlawn in the Woodlawn (Cotton Valley) Field. The well is in the W.D. Mize Survey, A-482.
In a lease 2.2 miles southwest of Waskom, in the Waskom (Cotton Valley) Field the Bryson A-Abney, J.K, (Allocation) Well No. 12H will be drilled by Devon Energy to 12,000 feet in the E.D. Wilson Survey, A-809.
Johnson County
The RFS Unit Well No. B7H, the Rice Unit Well No. 6H and the Rice Unit Well No. 7H will be drilled to 12,000 feet in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field by XTO Energy.
The No. B7H is 4.3 miles east of Burleson in the S.C. Sullivan Survey, A-808.
The No. 6H and the No. 7H are 4.3 miles southeast of Burleson in the J.G. Brown Survey, A-95.
Limestone County
XTO Energy will drill the Chandler Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 23H to 20,000 feet 2.9 miles southwest of Donie in the Farrar (Cotton Valley Lime) Field. This well is in the W.F. Ritchie Survey, A-485
Nacogdoches County
The Kendrick Unit Well No. 1H will be drilled to 14,000 feet 11.1 miles southeast of Nacogdoches in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field. This well is in the J. Matthews Survey, A-391.
Samson Lone Star will drill the Sgt. Pepper GU Well No. 1H to 14,000 feet 18 miles southeast of Nacogdoches in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field. It is in the J.A. Chirino Survey, A-17
Complete Vacuum and Rental will drill the T.A. Green SWD Well No. 1 to 8,400 feet in a lease 1.1 miles north of Chireno, in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field, in the J.A. Chirino Survey, A-17.
Navarro County
In a lease 1.5 miles southeast of Currie in a wildcat field, the M-74 Well No. 1 will be drilled by Atoms Energy Corporation, Mid-Tex Div. to 280 feet in the HT&B RR Co./J.C. Gamewell Survey, A-893.
Panola County
The Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field will see the Monad L. Werner Deep Well No. 1H drilled by NFR Energy. The well will hit 12,084 feet 2.5 miles southeast of Deadwood in the J. Husband Survey, A-266.
In a lease 1.2 miles northwest of Carthage in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field, the CGU 1 Well No. 17 will be drilled by Anadarko E&P to 12,000 feet in the A. Moorman Survey, A-427.
Red River County
The Granger Well No. 1 will be drilled to 5,700 feet 11.6 miles east of Clarksville in the Clarksville (Cotton Valley Sand) Field by 3-T Exploration. The well is in the A. Dean Survey, A-236 and may be drilled in the Topaz (Clarksville) Field or a wildcat field.
Robertson County
XTO Energy will drill the Williams Gas Unit Well No. 5 to 15,400 feet 5.6 miles southwest of Franklin in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. This well is in the E. McMillan Survey, A-222.
In a lease 14.5 miles northwest of Franklin, in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field, the Scruggs Well No. 1 will be drilled by O'Benco to 12,000 feet in the J. Hudson Survey, A-190. It may be drilled in a wildcat field.
Rusk County
Zone Energy will drill the L.D. Crim Well No. 11W to 3,900 feet 2.5 miles southwest of Kilgore in the East Texas Field. This well is in the I. Ruddle Survey.
San Augustine County
Exco Operating will drill the Holloway SU Well No. 2H to 15,000 feet six miles northeast of Chireno in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field. This well is in the N. Jones Survey, A-175.
EnCana Oil & Gas will drill the BSI Unit A47 Well No. 1H to 15,500 feet 12.3 miles southwest of San Augustine in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field. This well is in the A. Spear Survey, A-43.
Shelby County
The PDU "Elm" Well No. E1 and the PDU "Ash" Well No. K1MB will be drilled to 13,000 feet seven miles northwest of Huxley in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field by Newfield Exploration.
The No. E1 is in the W.J. Crane Survey, A-95.
The No. K 1MB is in the B.H. Simpson Survey, A-635.
Tarrant County
Carrizo Oil & Gas will drill the Debbie Lane B Unit Well No. 9H to 9,000 feet within the city limits of Mansfield in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field. This is in the J. Grimsley Survey, A-578.
XTO Energy will drill five wells in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field to 12,000 feet.
The Sitting Bull Unit Well No. 2H and No. 5H are 6.4 miles southwest of Benbrook in the S. Scragg Survey, A-1457.
The Carter Well No. A 3H is within the city limits of Fort Worth in the BBB&C RR Co. Survey, A-221.
The Federal Well No. C4H will is four miles northwest of Avondale in the T. Chubb Survey, A-327.
The Dollar Booth Unit Well No. B1H is 3.8 miles northwest of Avondale in the J.M. Zambrano Survey, A-1758.
Chesapeake Operating will drill nine wells to 9,000 feet in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field.
The Weaver Well No. 1H is ten miles northwest of Fort Worth in the J. Wilcox Survey, A-1716.
The Birdie Well No. 1H is 5.4 miles west of Fort Worth in the S.H. McEntire Survey, A-1006.
The Eagle Well No. 1H is 5.4 miles west of Fort Worth in the S. McEntire Survey, A-1006.
The Skyline Well No. 7H, the Skyline Well No. 8H and the Skyline Well No. 9H are within the city limits of Fort Worth in the T&NO RR Co./J. True Survey, A-1894.
The Yorn Well No. 6H is 1.8 miles east of Kennedale in the J.C. Houston Survey, A-720.
The Par Well No. 1H and the No. 2H are 5.4 miles west of Fort Worth in the H. Covington Hrs. Survey, A-256.
EnCana Oil & Gas will drill the Pyramid Acres Unit 5-6 SA Well No. 205H to 9,000 feet 7.2 miles southwest of Benbrook in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field. This well is in the J. Radcliff Survey, A-1371.
In a lease .4 miles south of Westlake, in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field, the Maguire 'B' Unit Well No. 1H will be drilled by Range to 9,000 feet in the T.W. Mann Survey, A-1107.
COMPLETIONS
Dallas County
Chesapeake Operating completed the Andie P Well No. 2H in the East Newark Field to 14,471 feet within the city limits of Coppell. On a .75-inch choke the well potentialed 3.757 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
Gregg County
Shoco Production completed the Elder Heirs Well No. 1 to 7,742 feet 8.4 miles southwest of Longview in the Willow Springs Field. On an open choke the well flowed with 24 barrels of crude. Production is in the Rodessa.
Harrison County
NFR Energy completed the Allen Well No. 5H to 14,020 feet four miles of Hallsville in the Oak Hill Field. On an open choke the well potentialed 2.056 million cubic feet of gas in the Cotton Valley.
GMX Resources completed two wells in the Carthage Field.
The Holt Well No. 2H was completed to 16,556 feet seven miles southeast of Marshall and potentialed 7.315 million cubic feet of gas on a 18/64-inch choke.
The Blocker Heirs Well No. 14H was completed to 16,525 feet 8.5 miles southeast of Marshall and potentialed 6.452 million cubic feet of gas on a 16/64-inch choke. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.
Johnson County
EOG Resources completed the Fowler Well No. 18H to 9,158 feet 4.4 miles northwest of Alvarado in the East Newark Field. This well potentialed 3.404 million cubic feet of gas on a 64/64-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
Chesapeake Operating completed the Dixie Ruth Well No. 10H to 10,826 feet 7.5 miles northwest of Cleburne in the East Newark Field. On a .75-inch choke the well potentialed 1.852 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
Limestone County
The V McFerran-Kerr-Laurence (SA) Well No. 1H was completed to 15,650 feet 7.5 miles southeast of Groesbeck by Devon Energy in the North Personville Field. On a .5312-inch choke the well potentialed 4.986 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated.
Nacogdoches County
EOG Resources completed the Edgar Unit Well No. 1H to 19,185 feet ten miles east of Nacogdoches in the Carthage Field. On a 20/64-inch choke the well potentialed 12.832 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.
Panola County
The Carthage Field has seen the Graves Estate Well No. 16 completed by Devon Energy to 9,815 feet 7.9 miles southwest of Carthage. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 354,000 cubic feet of gas. This well is located Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.
Devon Energy completed the Hull - B- Well No. 1 M and the Hull - A- Well No. 1L in the Carthage Field.
The No. 1 M well hit 6,500 feet 3.1 miles northeast of Carthage and on an adjustable choke potentialed 175,000 cubic feet of gas.
The No. 1L well is six miles east of Carthage and hit 6,498 feet. On an adjustable choke, this well potentialed 167,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Pettit, Lower Gas .
The Sempra Energy Well No. 3H was completed by Classic Operating to 12,335 feet 4.4 miles west of Joaquin in the Carthage Field. On a 32/64-inch choke the well potentialed 4.358 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.
On a .4062-inch choke the BS Broderick GU 2 Well No. 4 potentialed 3.387 million cubic feet of gas. Exxon Mobil completed this well to 14,195 feet 8.5 miles of Carthage in the Carthage Field. Production is in the Cotton Valley.
BP America completed the Ocie Glaspie Gas Unit Well No. 3 to 9,800 feet seven miles east of Carthage in the Carthage Field. The well potentialed 72,000 cubic feet of gas on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley.
San Augustine County
Exco Operating completed the Wood SU Well No. 1H to 18,213 feet 3.8 miles northeast of Chireno in the Carthage Field. On a 18/64-inch choke the well potentialed 18.986 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.
EOG Resources completed the Ironosa Gas Unit Well No. 1H and the McKinney Gas Unit Well No. 1H in the Carthage Field.
The Ironosa Gas Unit Well No. 1H hit 18,465 feet 5.2 miles west of San Augustine and on a 19/64-inch choke potentialed 10.770 million cubic feet of gas.
The McKinney Gas Unit Well No. 1H was completed to 18,826 feet 5.8 miles east of Chireno and on an adjustable choke potentialed 18.922 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.
Shelby County
The Davis Well No. 1H hit 16,161 feet three miles southeast of Center in the Carthage Field.
This well was completed by Chesapeake Operating and potentialed 9.443 million cubic feet of gas on a 22/64-inch choke in the Haynesville Shale.
On a 18/64-inch choke, the Nobles Well No. 1H potentialed 4.796 million cubic feet of gas. Chesapeake Operating completed the well to 18,605 feet 3.4 miles southeast of Center in the Carthage Field. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.
Tarrant County
Chesapeake Operating completed a new well in the East Newark Field.
The I-20 JV Well No. 2H hit 8,345 feet 4.6 miles southeast of Arlington. On a 1-inch choke the well potentialed 3.932 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
The Ervin Unit Well No. 2H was completed by Carrizo Oil & Gas to 11,427 feet 2.5 miles northeast of Mansfield in the East Newark Field. On a 36/64-inch choke the well potentialed 5.005 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
Devon Energy completed the Veale Ranch Well No. 41 to 10,360 feet six miles southeast of Aledo in the East Newark Field. This well potentialed 1.5987 million cubic feet of gas on an open choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
EnCana Oil & Gas completed the Corn-Cleveland Well No. 3H to 10,575 feet 5.7 miles southeast of Benbrook in the East Newark Field. On a 36/64-inch choke the well potentialed 1.213 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.
