These guys must be hating that they have to drill these wells right now to keep leases from expiring. I'm glad it's not my gas.
Jon, better now while they have some hedges in place than 2010 when the hedges are lower.
Agree that E&P's are generally 60 to 80% hedged in 2009 and less in 2010 (other than CRK), but poor royalty owner gets well head price since a prudent person probably wouldn't have hedged 2009 or 2010 NG from a well not yet drilled and over which he/she has no control.

How could you ever hedge a SWEP well since SWEP drills, but doesn't deliver to sales or report anything.
I guess if you can't laugh at yourself...
I would think, if necessary, they could hire the expertise they needed from one of the companies in the play that CAN complete a well. Hell, they can hire Schlumberger to supervise the drilling and completion of the well. I guess I should sell all my Royal Dutch stock. Looks to me like they have as much trouble building pipelines as they do drilling wells.
