Does anyone have any information as to whether Encana applied for an extension on the Grice Unit, or any other extensions for expiring permits they hold on units not drilling currently?

Mac, the best place to post a discussion focused on a specific location, in this instance Amite County, is in the group set up for Amite:  http://www.gohaynesvilleshale.com/group/amite-county-ms

When you post there all the members following Amite get an email notifying them of your new discussion.  That doesn't happen when you post on the Main Page.  You have to get lucky and have the right members find your discussion before it rotates down and off.

As to the Grice unit I believe it was approved at the July MS O&GB meeting as Order No. 410-2014 with that order effective for 18 months.  The actual well permits for the Grice 14H #1 & 2 were issued July 18, 2014 and is effective for 12 months.  I can't offer a comment on other units without knowing which specific ones are are referring to.
