Encana will make a bid for CHK --especially for their assets in HS
Back again ... Les, what would be needed to get that technical capability, or is it not possible?
Sesport, probably $3-4 billion investment plus 3-4 years to permit and construct. Of course that is just for the terminal. May need some $$$ for reconfiguring the gas pipeline system.
Kittycatmama,

Do you mean Encana would buy CHK or CHK will buy Encana?
Encana is a strong co. Exxon and Encana will compete to purchase either some (for example HS play) or all of CHK. The only problem could come from yesterday's Bank of Scotland near collapse which contributed to banking problems in Canada where Encana is based. The global banking problems are hurting development of the HS because these companies have to borrow money to drill and make money. Exxon has been a conservative company and has a lot of cash reserves which may not put them in top position to acquire CHK or another gas company in the HS play. Just my ol' opinion. So much speculation now in the markets.
Parker,
There is no way CKH could buy Encana. Encana is a very large company.
My post said Encana and Exxon would compete to BUY CHK
Yes mam, I know that. I was talking to Parker.
Graysands, the company is trying to tell investors their stock should be selling for a higher price based on projected future earnings.
PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU CAN HELP.
My family owns a house and about an acre inside Shreveport, as well as 40 acres in DeSoto Parish.

I have left requests for information before with other groups, and have never heard from anyone . That may have been a problem with my email address. I have 3 --and get tons of mail that I have to go through each day for important mail:
coonpeace@aol.com, randal.coon@yahoo.com, and randalcoon@comcast.net

If you know who started this group or of anyone that might be leasing now, please let me know. I initially signed up in a hurry with some one who was going to negotiate the leases for us but I have not heard anything from him or his wife, who collected the signed agreements at an ice cream store next to Drug Emporium. Sorry but that is the only detail I have to find out who it was. If you know, or if you are the person, please call me at 318-688-3139.

Thanks, Randal Coon
Randal.. I believe the person you signed with is probably Jerry Merrill who is representing the Southwest Shreveport Homeowners Coalition and who also owns that ice cream shop. You might try the website for that group. Try this link http://www.swshc.org/ and good luck.
