Anyone have any idea what a fair price is for frac water in the South Bossier Elm Grove field area? I heard CHK was offering about 25 cents a barrel and it sounded low to me.

A friend of mine just  (late 8/11)  got .45 per barrel in area of little remaining surface water (Springridge,southwest Caddo).
.25 per barrel is low especially in this drought.  I just recently sold for .40 cents (Encana) in the swan lake field area
.25 sounds good to poor boy like myself.  Take it or they'll go around you.
I agree.
Yes, if they have the option of going around you then lower your price but, keep in mind they have to rent that 10 inch aluminum frac pipe at between 5 and 7 cents per foot per day, so going further to go around somebody is very costly unless they are rather close.
