freeze offs must be very widespread in the midcontinent & rockies. today's, one day only, panhandle eastern pl field zone price is $37/MMBtu. and at the opal hub in wyoming, the daily is $30/MMBtu.

i'd bet the chicago citygate price for today is higher than a cat's back. unfortunately, the wsj doesn't print many indexing points.
