Talk about misinformation! Rachael Maddow is concerned because the Gov. has appointed a COAL CO. executive to make overriding decisions on energy. Now they are going to have gas wells everywhere. We all know how pro- Natural Gas the coal companies are don't we. I agree that the appointment should not be done because he has a conflict of interest. His bias will NOT be toward natural gas. They need to understand the dynamics before they make stupid statements! They don't even want to understand the issues before they comment on them. Very Sad journalism! Afriend of mine once told me"Yankees are dumb otherwise they would not be yankees." I never believed him before but...........:-)

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
